160 Native artists to gather at SWAIA’s Winter Indian Market in Santa Fe
The 21st annual market returns November 28–29, offering a smaller setting to meet artists and purchase their work during U.S. Thanksgiving weekend.

The Southwestern Association for Indian Arts, or SWAIA, has announced that 160 Native artists will take part in its Winter Indian Market at the Santa Fe Convention Center on November 28 and 29, 2026.
The two-day event brings together juried artists from the Santa Fe Indian Market, with work ranging from jewelry and hand-coiled pottery to paintings. Smaller than the summer market, the winter gathering gives visitors time to speak directly with artists about their techniques and the stories behind their work.
“Winter Indian Market is built for connection,” SWAIA executive director Jamie R. Schulze, who is Northern Cheyenne and Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate, said in the announcement. She emphasized the opportunity to get to know the makers and support their work through direct purchases.
Market hours are 10 a.m.–5 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, and 9 a.m.–4 p.m. on Sunday, November 29. Admission is US$15 for one day or US$25 for the weekend, with tickets available through SWAIA’s website.
