Borders, a scripted drama directed by Kenneth Shirley, an Indigenous artist from the Navajo Nation and the founder of the Native dance company Indigenous Enterprise, is now streaming for members on Channel 5's C5.NOW.

C5.NOW lists the program at about 37 minutes, posted with a trailer on September 25. Channel 5 launched C5.NOW on July 20 as an independent streaming platform for documentarians and independent filmmakers, Complex reported at the time.

The drama follows Damion, an aspiring Indigenous musician whose family and community become entangled in conflict involving federal law enforcement, cartel networks and corruption. C5.NOW describes the community as an Indigenous tribe divided by the U.S.–Mexico border. Indigenous Enterprise says the story is set on the fictional Anyo Nation in southern Arizona, and the Navajo Times described the community as straddling the border in the Sonoran Desert.

C5.NOW credits Shirley as director, with Andrew Callaghan of Channel 5 as executive producer; Callaghan also appears in the cast, according to the platform's credits. It lists Shirley, Gilbert Trejo, Lionel Thundercloud, Chelsea Healy and Adam Conte as writers, and the cast includes Victor Vegas, Helena Gualinga, Doc Native and Eugene Brave Rock.

A 28-minute pilot premiered April 24 at Phoenix's Celebrity Theatre, the Navajo Times reported. The version on C5.NOW is a new, extended cut, Channel 5 said.

Borders is listed under NOW Exclusives at c5.now; watching it requires a C5.NOW membership.
