Route 66 Marks Its Centennial in Tulsa With Ken Pomeroy and Wilderado Nov. 11
Cherokee Nation Businesses co-presents the daylong celebration, with free downtown events alongside the sold-out Cain's Ballroom concert.

Cherokee singer-songwriter Ken Pomeroy will open for Wilderado at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa on Nov. 11 as the city marks Route 66's centennial. The evening concert is sold out.
The show is part of the Oklahoma Route 66 Centennial Celebration, presented by Cherokee Nation Businesses and the Oklahoma Route 66 Centennial Commission. It falls on Veterans Day, 100 years after the highway's Nov. 11, 1926 designation.
The concert is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Central, with doors at 6 p.m. Pomeroy was raised in Moore, Oklahoma.
Free daytime events include the 11 a.m. Veterans Day parade and the Centennial Crawl, which opens eight downtown venues from 1 to 5 p.m. for art, history and entertainment.
The free daytime program is separate from the sold-out Cain's Ballroom concert and doesn't include admission to that show.
