Nearly $8 Million Awarded to 15 Indigenous Productions Through the CMF Indigenous Program

The Indigenous Screen Office (ISO) and the Canada Media Fund (CMF) have selected 15 Indigenous productions to share $7,994,037 in production funding through the CMF Indigenous Program, the organizations announced Nov. 5.

It is the second round of selections since the ISO began overseeing the program’s applications, funding and other components. Funding decisions are made through selective processes administered by the ISO.

Seven of the projects are documentaries, six are children’s and youth productions and two are dramas. Four will be produced in Quebec, three each in British Columbia and Nunavut, two each in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, and one in Ontario.
